Chemical Dependency

|
Crossroads provides outpatient chemical dependency treatment for adults, age eighteen (18) and over. Each individual is provided with a treatment plan designed to address their specific needs.
Assessment
The process of recovery begins with a full diagnostic assessment to determine the extent of an individual's involvement with alcohol or other drugs. This assessment includes the review of eleven (11) critical life areas to ensure that any biological, psychological, or social issues may be addressed. Once initial paperwork is completed, which may take up to an hour, you will be scheduled with an assessment appointment (no appointment is necessary for initial paperwork). Assessment appointments are available Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, unless special arrangements are made ahead of time.
For our clients who have legal involvement, a Washington state court approved assessment is required. Collateral documents must be reviewed by our sate certified counselors. Documents normally reviewed are: Defendant Case History, Police or Incident Report, Driving Abstract, Court Orders, previous treatment records, etc). Relapse Prevention
In relapse prevention treatment, individuals attend two (2) hour sessions, one (1) time per week for a period of 12 weeks. Relapse prevention treatment is a program structured to address the causes of relapse and allow each client to create an individualized relapse prevention plan. This group meets weeknights only.

Alcohol and Drug Information School (ADIS)
Once a month Crossroads has Alcohol and Drug Information School. The school is an eight (8) hour educational program designed for those individuals who have received a court approved assessment stating that there is "No Significant Problem" with recommendation of ADIS. In some cases, the court may also require an individual to attend ADIS.
DUI Victim Impact Panel (VIP)
Once a month Crossroads has a panel of speakers that share personal stories of how driving under the influence (DUI) has affected them personally. Crossroads is registered with Washington state to provide this service.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment
This first phase of treatment generally consists of twelve (12) weeks of group therapy (3 times per week, 2 hours per session). Group and individual counseling, education, and involvement in a twelve (12) step recovery program are the basis for intensive outpatient treatment. Evening and weekend programs are available.
Weekly Aftercare
Clients in this phase of treatment attend one and a half (1.5) hour sessions, one (1) time per week. Weekly aftercare provides ongoing support in the process of recovery. Day, evening, and weekend programs are available.
